| 1 | Regular games begin at 6:30 pm. Two games 7 innings each. Home team takes the field first game. Visiting takes the field in the second game. Second game started at the discretion of the teams playing. Games starting at 6:30 pm that are played at K2 or K4 and have league games following their early game must not start the last inning after 8:30 pm. |
| 2 | Games scheduled under the lights at K2 or K4 will start their doubleheader league game at 8:45 pm. Teams will play two 7 inning games as indicated above. |
| 3 | If one team gets 7 runs in one inning, the other team will bat after the 7th run comes in. |
| 4 | Each team must have 4 women, 6 men on the field at all times and 1 extra hitter is allowed. You may start your game with only three women but the fourth girl is an automatic out when it’s their turn to bat. The fourth girl must be playing before the extra hitter is able to hit (making the team which is short the girl have only 9 people in the batting order, 6 guys - 3 girls, until the 4th girl arrives and is inserted in the game at the end of the batting order, at which time the extra hitter may also be inserted if desired, at the bottom of the batting order). A team must also field with 9 people, 6 guys - 3 girls until the 4th girl arrives who may then be inserted in the field. You may play 5 and 5 but once you start that way you must finish the game that way with no subbing guy for a girl, you may add late guy as an extra hitter. |
| 5 | Batting team required to supply an umpire. Please co-operate in umpiring the game. |
| 6 | 1st team listed on the schedule handed out at package night shall be home team. Home team for the first game supplies the bases for the game and is responsible for setting them up. Each team will supply a ball provided by the league at the beginning of the double header. |
| 7 | The ball must have a 6’ to unlimited arc or it is called a no pitch and counted as a ball against the batter. |
| 8 | Bases are 65’ apart. Pitch from 50’ with a 6’ radial range. |
| 9 | Do not leave beer bottles, etc at the diamonds or we may lose the facilities. |
| 10 | Any team wishing to reschedule a league game must have the agreement of the opposing team. In case of a rain out and games cannot be rescheduled for whatever reasons refer to the rainout rule making those games a 10-10 tie. In case of a request to reschedule for any other reason and the team being asked cannot do so do, a team that no shows concedes the 10-0 forfeits. Teams being asked to reschedule for other reasons than weather are encouraged to cooperate if possible, but are not obligated to do so. |
| 11 | A foul ball on the third strike is considered an out. |
| 12 | The board used over home plate is 32” by 20”. Board covers triangle. When a ball strikes any portion of the board it will be considered a strike. Catcher must be on front of plate to make an out. Ball must hit the mat to be a strike. |
| 13 | Use safety base on first and safety lines a home (run past, DO NOT TOUCH THE PLATE) |
| 14 | A substitute may take the place of a player whose name is already entered in the teams batting order. The players in the starting line up may be substituted for and re-entered ONCE. A starting player if re-entered MUST OCCUPY THE SAME POSITION IN THE BATTING ORDER. The starting player and substitute CANNOT BE IN THE LINE UP AT THE SAME TIME. In simple, starters can come out for bench players once, and starters can go back in once. Bench players may only go in once. In case they are pulled, a bench player is unavailable for the rest of the game. INFORM THE OPPOSING TEAM OF ANY SUBSTITUTIONS YOU DO SO THEY CAN RECORD IT ON THEIR SCORESHEET. |

| 18 | 4 straight balls to a guy with a girl behind, guy gets 2nd but girl has to hit. |
| 19 | Home runs will be 3 and match (3 + 1). Each team may hit 3 home runs. Once these are hit, that team may hit no more home runs until the opposing team has caught up. Once both teams have 3, they may each hit 1, getting no more until the other team matches. (You hit 3, they hit 3, you hit 1, you may not hit another until the opposing team matches) Home runs under this rule are unlimited, as long as you match. A ball hit out of the field before the other team matches at 3 home runs shall be considered a single. Runners that are on base only advance if there is a force situation. A ball knocked over the outfield fence by a defender in fair territory is a 4 base award and not counted as a homerun. Inside the park home runs will not be included in this rule. |
| 20 | Regular SPN rules apply when not covered by League Rules. |
| 21 | A $50.00 non-refundable fee will accompany any appeal of a game or ruling by the league. Any appeal must be in writing to the board. |
| 22 | A forfeit is considered a 10-0 |
| 23 | A rain out is a 10-10 tie |
| 24 | All score sheets must be turned into Geo’s Sports Bar by winning team on the evening of the game. If you are unable to drop it that night then they have to be in by Friday noon or the game is considered a tie. Teams must verify scores amongst each other. The score handed in is the score used. |
| 25 | Statistics will be posted in the Canadian, on the league website (cmsp.letpad.com) and at Geo’s Sports bar. |
| 26 | Teams will be notified of their playoff schedule that will take place the third week of July using a double knock-out tournament format. Team awards will be presented to division winners & runner up teams at the beer gardens following completion of all finals. A social dance will follow the conclusion of the league final tournament. |
| 27 | No Rescheduling of playoff games by teams. Rescheduling shall be done by the league in case of rain-out or extraneous circumstances (killer bees, etc) |
| 28 | A foul ball must be above the catcher’s head to be considered an out or it is considered a foul tip and merely a strike. |
| 29 | In extra innings in the playoffs, the last out starts at second base and you play 3 outs (International Tie Breaker) |
| 30 | The ASA 2004 and Beyond approved bats list shall apply. If this list is not followed our insurance is void. A team using any banned bats will be fined $100.00 and be warned by the league. Any further violations will result in a team or individual being banned from the Camrose Mixed Slo-Pitch Association |
| 31 | Rosters must be submitted on package night and can be modified until May 31st by submitting changes with your score sheet. After May 31st rosters will be finalized and cannot be changed. Final rosters will be used for league playoffs and only players listed on the roster will be able to play for their respective teams during the playoffs. Players will not be allowed to play for any other team during the league playoffs. Teams will be not allowed to commence league play if their roster is not turned in during the package night. |
| 32 | The 12 run mercy rule is in effect. A team leading by 12 runs or more after 5 or 6 complete innings of play or 4 and ½ or 5 and ½ innings if the home team is ahead, shall be considered the winner and the game completed. |
| 33 | If the home team in a mercy rule situation (Rule 31), it is unnecessary to take their final at bat and the game shall be considered officially completed. |
